Wizards game the other night

We took the family to see the Washington Wizards basketball game the other night. They have a special section called "The Hill", it's the upper deck. The tickets were $10 each and we figured what the hell, let's do it.

We sat in the original "Hill" seats for the first half. The wife managed to snag a Wizards employee and get upgraded to section 122 for the 2nd half. What a difference! You can see in the pictures below.

The game was great and the Wizards won at the buzzer! Here is the highlight video.

BK BURGER SHOTS - ROCK!

They are back! These little burger gems are awesome! First introduced in 1987 as "Burger Bundles" and then as Burger Buddies, Burger King has brought back these mini-burgers as "BK BURGER SHOTS". They appear to me to be exactly the same. The 6 part meat patty is formed as one you pull them apart (after they are assembled by your trusty BK staff) to eat them.

What a pleasant blast from the 1980's. With the huge "burger slider craze" underway across the USA, I guess BK decided to cash in. I hope they keep them on the menu for a long time.

What a blast from the past. A great american bar and grill in Old Town Manassas. Located in the same location as the old Hero's Bar and Grill. A place where I signed the ceiling back in 1995.

Today Mackey's offers a great feel with lot's of TV's and the food is awesome.

Here is a picture of my signing from yesterday, I can't believe it's still there after almost 13 years.

Woke up this morning and it was snowing. As of 7:10 pm we have about 3.5 inches. Here is a picture of Mason early this morning enjoying the white stuff.

My son's car had 3 runs (3rd place, 2nd place and 2nd place). With the adjusted MPH scoring they use he did not win. However, he did win for "Most Creative" car. Very exciting.

1st Weekend without football!

Well here it is, the first weekend without football in MONTHS! Next Sunday we get the Super Bowl and that's it. The AFL (Arena Football) has cancelled their 2009 season due to a bad economy. So their will be no spring and summer football. No chance to watch the Philadelphia Soul defend their Arena Bowl title. Really sucks!

Pinewood Derby tomorrow!

Tomorrow is my son's first Pinewood Derby. Here is a picture of his "Luigi" car, based on the popular Nintendo games.

We spent a good deal of time working on it. I hope it makes it down the track. LOL

iBook G4 back from MacService

I just got the iBook G4 back from MacService. All I can say is WOW! The upgrade went without a hitch. All of the data, Apps and Leopard OS moved perfectly. Hell, they even re-attached my broken SHIFT key at no cost.

I am happy!

Steve Mariucci next REDSKINS Coach?

Looks like the guy Dan Snyder is waiting to talk to could be Steve Mariucci. Reported in the Redskins Insider on WashingtonPost.com.

This makes sense to me, the Redskins have said that it will be another week or so before they make a decision. Steve Mariucci is currently working
on NFL Network and they are in full Super Bowl mode right now. Maybe that explains the Redskins delay, let Mariucci finish out his TV duties and the he is on to Washignton.

Eee PC 2 lb. laptop

I saw a very cool looking mini laptop. It's called the Eee PC made by Asus. This thing is light only 2 lbs. and features a solid state hard drive. The price is $349 w/ 4gb HD. It runs Linux or can be loaded with XP.

It's very interesting looking and I would love to see it in person.

iBook service from MacService

I sent my ibook G4 to MacService for a HD upgrade. My stock 30 GB HD was maxed out and I wanted to upgrade to a 100 GB 7200 RPM model. The service so far with MacService has been great, their email and website tracking works really good.

I hope all is well with the OS, file and applications transfer. I am scheduled to get the iBook back on Monday. I will give an additional report then.
